Kelly McFarling

Saturday Feb 16, 2013 (8pm)

Subterranean Arthouse

2179 Bancroft Way

$10 - 15 sliding scale

A true southern transplant, Kelly McFarling calls San Francisco home now, but you wouldn't know that by listening to her. Her agile banjo picking and rich voice sound more at home in the Bayou than the Bay, but here she is and no one's complaining. Subterranean Arthouse's intimate setting provides a fitting backdrop to what will most likely be a memorable and heartwarming show.

Kelly McFarling says…

Homegrown and haunting, Kelly McFarling's voice spirals powerfully, and progressively over a bed of oldtimey instrumentation. She is from Atlanta, GA, where she learned to sing in church choirs and baseball stadiums, and learned to write through the stories of Flannery O' Connor and Toni Morrison.
