Anyone who uses social media is well aware of the privacy issues attached to sharing personal information on the interwebs. When it comes to getting people to trust an online service, what's a tech entrepreneur to do? Well, for starters, attend this panel. Hosted by General Assembly and The Bold Italic, "Just Trust Me..." features expert trust-getters like the lead product/graphic designers of Airbnb and Facebook. After the talk, you get treated to chocolate and a free drink. The event organizers add, intriguingly, "Bring your special friend, trust us." We can only presume special trust-fall exercises.

The Bold Italic says…

Trust and reputation play an increasingly important role in today's digital economy. This Valentines week, General Assembly and The Bold Italic are teaming up to explore how startups build trust into the core design and function of their products. We'll discuss how design can be used to inspire confidence and convey a sense of ease. A free drink, chocolates, and snacks will follow the talk.
