The aesthetic legacy of India's royal courts is a visual feast to be reckoned with, and if you're ready for some major historical bling, a visit to the Asian Art Museum's Maharaja show is vital. The dynamic and diverse offerings of the exhibition (ending soon!) provide an apposite backdrop for this month's Pecha Kucha event, "Masala Madness," featuring curried comestibles and, more importantly, discourse on all things Indian and design-related. Twenty images, each shown for 20 seconds, keep prolix prattling to a minimum, encouraging lively interchange and promoting creativity across myriad media. This event marks the 50th meeting of Pecha Kucha's SF chapter, so kick up the Bollywood jams (or perhaps some stately dhrupad) and prepare for a celebration of creativity and culture!

Pecha Kucha says…

Are you ready to spice it up? The Asian Art Museum's Maharaja exhibition is closing soon and before it does, we want to share a great night of presenters covering all things Indian. More specifically, we'll be talking about cross-cultural connections and evolution in design. We'll also be sipping drinks, nibbling on Curry Up Now, and hearing lively tunes from our DJ.
