Henry Rollins' work regimen with Black Flag is now the stuff of hardcore legend (see Get in the Van or Our Band Could Be Your Life). And while few would equate guesting on RuPaul's Drag Race and FX's Sons of Anarchy with Rollins' old six-times-per-week practice sessions, his work ethic remains almost militaristic when it comes to his talking tours (Rollins finds "spoken word" too pretentious). If his political rants sometimes err on the side of obviousness, his road-dog war stories and sheer force of conviction still enthrall. Catch him this week during his Thanksgiving residency at Yoshi's San Francisco. No surprise that he's working on Thanksgiving.

Yoshi's San Francisco says…

Henry Rollins joined the Southern California band Black Flag as vocalist in 1981. Upon the demise of the legendary rock group, he formed Rollins Band and has been making records and touring the world ever since. Beyond taking the stage as a musician, Henry does speaking dates all over the globe, and along with the band dates, has averaged over one hundred shows a year for twenty-eight years.
