Kanbar Hall, JCCSF says…

Eddie Muller, the brains and muscle behind the annual Noir City film festival, has done as much as anyone to ensure that film noir gets its due in America. An omnivorous culture hawk, the "Czar of Noir" has also published books on the history of adult cinema, helped to create a historical boxing museum, and directed the Thrillpeddelers' revival of Noel Coward's 1921 play The Better Half. Tonight, he and San Francisco Film Society director Miguel Pendás lead a talking tour that focuses on our city's starring role in some of film noir's best titles, including Dark Passage, The Lady from Shanghai, Born to Kill, Sudden Fear, and The Maltese Falcon.
