Housing Works Bookstore Cafe says…

Got a taste for crime and a yen for travel? Like being transported by both crafty plots and exotic locales? Then join our group of armchair detectives for a killer discussion of murder and mayhem that spans the globe.

Housing Works Bookstore Cafe is partnering with one of Manhattan’s premiere independent publishers, Soho Press – and their imprint Soho Crime – to bring you some of the finest in mystery and suspense writing from around the world! Each month, The International Crime Book Group will discuss a novel from Soho Crime’s extensive catalog of thrillers, each set in a different region. Join us in December as we travel to Northern Ireland with The Ghosts of Belfast by Stuart Neville.

The ICBG meets on the second Saturday of every month in the bookstore’s café. It will be hosted by Housing Works Bookstore’s resident mystery buff Merril Speck and (schedule permitting) Soho Press Senior Editor Juliet Grames. They will provide discussion questions and lead the meeting. The group is open to all who are interested!

More on The Ghosts of Belfast by Stuart Neville: Former paramilitary killer Gerry Fegan is haunted by his victims, twelve souls who shadow his every waking day and scream through every drunken night. Just as he reaches the edge of sanity they reveal their desire: vengeance on those who engineered their deaths. From the greedy politicians to the corrupt security forces, the street thugs to the complacent bystanders who let it happen, all must pay the price. When Fegan's vendetta threatens to derail Northern Ireland's peace process and destabilize its fledgling government, old comrades and enemies alike want him gone. David Campbell, a double agent lost between the forces of law and terror, takes the job. But he has his own reasons for eliminating Fegan…

Our thanks to Soho Press for generously donating copies of The Ghosts of Belfast. It will be available in the bookstore at half price.
