Pitchfork and MoMA bring Ducktails, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Holly Herndon together for a show to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy. Ducktails is the project of Real Estate guitarist Matthew Mondanile; light and upbeat, Ducktails "attempts to realize a shared cultural memory and nostalgia through various genres, drone, psych, music concrete, etc." Holly Herndon got into electronic music through European techno, but pursued music in school and is now a doctoral candidate for composition at Stanford. Oneohtrix Point Never is the electronic project of Brooklyn musician Daniel Lopatin. He's collaborated with a number of producers, and has recently released Instrumental Tourist, an improvised LP with Montreal's Tim Hecker. All proceeds from the show go to benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
