Henry Darger: Landscapes

Dec 13, 2012 – Feb 2, 2013

Daily (11am–6pm)

Ricco Maresca Gallery

529 W 20th St

“Henry Darger, the Chicago custodian who went on to become posthumously known as one of the great outsider artists of the 20th century for his strange and beautiful drawings and watercolor paintings, has never been more in vogue. Between bands like the Vivian Girls taking their name from Darger's work, to Animal Collective using his art on their cover, and several documentaires on Darger's life and work, this retrospective that covers a decade of Darger's work should be pretty high up on your list of things to see this winter. Just please note that the gallery is closed on Sunday and Monday. â€
