“Lincoln Center is paying homage to the work of fashion and celebrity photographers Markus+Indrani and their new book Icons with a photographic exhibition. The exhibit, open to the public, is made up of 30 eight-foot versions of images from their gorgeous book, with subjects including Lady Gaga, Kate Winslet, Beyoncé, and Daphne Guinness. The Icons book features 150 photos of these celebrities and many more, including Dita Von Teese and David Bowie, along with behind-the-scenes tales about each photographic session. Proceeds from the sale of the book go to SEEschool.org, the charitable education foundation Indrani co-founded in her native country of India. Catch it while you can – the show will be at Lincoln Center for just two days.”
"Since its founding, Lincoln Center has presented and commissioned the world's greatest visual artists and we are delighted to continue that tradition with Markus & Indrani's debut exhibit,” said Andrew Kalish, Senior Manager, Strategy and Business Development of Lincoln Center. “For over 50 years, Lincoln Center has been the cultural heart of New York City. The addition of Fashion Week and new fashion-driven programming, as well as the stunning redevelopment of the campus, has only further reinforced that notion."
