LA's resident offbeat tour company, Esotouric, takes bold bus riders into the bowels of seamy, seedy post-Prohibition era Los Angeles, zeroing in on what was once Downtown's main thoroughfare, Main Street. A land of pawn shops, barber colleges, medicine shows, Cherokee fortune tellers, and all-night theaters, Main Street attracted the colorful, curious, and unsavory alike. Today, voyagers are invited to go back in time to uncover the secrets and faded glory behind post-WWI hotels, including the Alexandria, the Cecil, and the Barclay, one of the oldest continuously operating hotels in LA.
