WP24, Wolfgang Puck’s Asian fusion restaurant in Downtown, has a new pastry chef, Michael Aguilar, and an innovative new dessert menu. Aguilar, formerly with the Beverly Hills Hotel, creates deliciously unexpected  concoctions. The heavenly Miso Butterscotch is complemented by apples braised in caramel, spiced apple donuts, and cider sorbet. Another dessert menu highlight, the Coconut Bavarian, is composed of toasted banana chiffon, passion fruit mango pudding, and jasmine rice sorbet. Chocolate lovers might prefer the Espresso Praline Crunch with dark chocolate cremeux, espresso mousse, and hazelnut coffee ice cream, or the Liquid Caramel with buttermilk chocolate cake, almond nougatine, and chocolate sorbet. Enjoy them in the gorgeous dining room or chic, expansive lounge while taking in the breathtaking view of LA’s glittering skyline and be happy you’re happily ensconced atop the Ritz Carlton rather than inside one of the army of cars on the 110.
