Celebrate Valentine's week with the biggest name in burlesque since Gypsy Rose Lee. Glamour icon Dita Von Teese performs her latest and most luxe show, Burlesque: Strip, Strip Hooray, at the House of Blues for four nights. This dazzling 90-minute revue features lavish sets and costumes and four of Dita's most jaw-dropping performances. Known for entertaining inside an oversized martini glass, Dita works with her newest and most decadent prop yet: an Art Deco-style glass emblazoned with over a quarter of a million Swarovski crystals. Also included in the show: Dita's "Rhinestone Cowgirl" set, spinnin' spurs, Christian Louboutin cowboy boots and all. Dita invited several other top burlesque performers to join Strip Strip Hooray: seductress Dirty Martini, crowned Miss Exotic World in 2004; international star Perle Noire, known as the second coming of Josephine Baker; Lady Nikolska of the famed Crazy Horse in Paris; former Gaultier and Armani model turned boylesque star Monsieur Romeo, and Duke Lafayette with his prop, a golden mannequin leg he calls Desiree. It’s certain to be a provocative evening of sophisticated titillation.

LA Times says…

She may not have been the first, but no one, except maybe Bettie Page herself, has done more for the popularity of burlesque than Von Teese, its high priestess. Retro-inspired stripper culture is almost incidental to Von Teese's star power, as she has been featured in Vogue and Playboy magazine spreads. Like Madonna, who's been influenced by burlesque culture herself, Von Teese has a mystical allure, a combination of shameless confidence and perfectionism.
