Scottish writer J. M. Barrie may have created Peter Pan, but as is the case with most beloved childhood heroes, Disney gave us the quintessential image of everybody's favorite green-clad man-child. The mischief-maker and leader of the 'lost boys' brings fellow characters such as Tinkerbell and Wendy to soar across the big screen of Hollywood's historical El Capitan Theatre.

El Capitan Theater says…

In celebration of its 60th Anniversary release, Hollywood’s legendary El Capitan Theatre is thrilled to present Walt Disney’s animated classic Peter Pan along with a never before seen episode of Disney Junior's “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” January 11- February 7 2013. This exclusive engagement features an on stage live appearance by Jake of “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” at every showing. Adding to the excitement, a Peter Pan panel night will be moderated by Leonard Maltin and offered exclusively at the El Capitan Theatre on Friday, January 11. The doors will open at 6:30pm, the panel discussion will start at 7pm, and the movie will follow.  The event will feature conversations with Kathryn Beaumont (voice of Wendy), Margaret Kerry (live-action reference model for Tinker Bell) and Ted Thomas (son of legendary Disney animator Frank Thomas and director/writer of the acclaimed documentaries “Frank and Ollie" and “Walt & El Grupo,”) who produced an all-new featurette on the Children of the Nine Old Men that is packaged as part of the Peter Pan Diamond Edition Blu-ray release.
