The gorgeous Cliff's Edge in Silver Lake is possibly one of the prettiest places to brunch on the east side of LA, with its gorgeous terraced garden patio centered by a large, canopy-like tree. Thanks to some new additions to the already delicious brunch menu, it’s also one of the tastiest. One of the adventurous new brunch menu items now offered is the Trout Toast. This union of trout, quail egg, crème fraîche, lemon, scallion, and pickled red onion is an exciting alternative to the traditional bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese. The Pork Belly Hash is a tasty surprise, deliciously melding pork belly with bacon, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, a fried egg, feta, and cilantro. The Creamy Grits are a stimulating wake-up call, thanks to the addition of baked egg, chorizo Bolognese, piquillo, cotija, and cilantro. Potato Pancakes with smoked salmon, poached egg, Swiss chard, and sour cream are another standout. Carbaholics will enjoy the Patatas Bravas: crispy fingerling potatoes topped with romesco and lemon aioli. You might wonder how exciting Baked Eggs can be? The answer is very, especially when topped, as at Cliff’s, with goat cheese, roasted cherry tomatoes, basil, and olives. If you prefer a sweet brunch to a savory one, the Pistachio Crepes with berries and vanilla mascarpone are fantastic. Paired with a selection from the wonderful brunchtime bar menu, such as a blood-orange mimosa or margarita, a white-wine sangria, or a selection from the beautifully edited brunch wine menu (mostly sparkling wines from Europe with a pair of French Pinot Noirs thrown in for good measure), brunch at Cliff’s is the perfect start to a leisurely Saturday or Sunday.

Cliff's Edge says…

Owners Dana Hollister, Keith Greco, and Pierre Casanova welcome you to Cliff’s, a unique dining destination.

Located in the heart of Silver Lake on Sunset Blvd. close to Sunset Junction, Cliff's has been a favorite of East side diners since 2004. New Executive Chef Benjamin Bailly, a James Beard Award nominee, has crafted a menu of rustic, elegant food, with the emphasis on fresh, local produce, and simple preparation that enhances the bright flavors of the ingredients. The menu changes regularly, and with the seasons, while ‘specials’ reflect the best of the market. The patio at Cliff's is the most inviting in Los Angeles, anchored by the spreading arms of a huge ancient tree, sheltered from the street by abundant greenery, under which our guests enjoy our exceptional cuisine, and our extensive, accessible wine list. Innovative cocktails are expertly prepared in our recently remodeled, elegant and cozy bar, where our mixologists Richard Swan and Dan Thompson make fresh syrups and infusions daily.
