CPK's New Adventures Menu
“The always-dependable California Pizza Kitchen has long known for their modern takes on pizza and their excellent salads, but they decided recently to rev up their choices with the addition of their New Adventures menu. Carb-laden food has traditionally been considered comfort food but this new menu turns that idea on its ear. The Quinoa and Arugula Salad tastes both healthful and indulgent. It features feta cheese, asparagus, red onion, toasted pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, and champagne vinaigrette. It's straightforward and scrumptious, the kind of thing you can imagine eating weekly. The Fire-Roasted Chile Relleno is also fantastic, especially since chile rellenos can be disappointing in general. This one is remarkably full of flavor, stuffed with chicken, wild mushrooms, corn and black bean salsa, spinach, and eggplant. The Shrimp Scampi Zucchini Fettucine is heavenly, and naturally lower in carbs thanks to the substitution of much of the pasta with ribbons of cooked fettuccine topped with shrimp scampi. Grilled Chicken Chimichurri is delicious. Topped with the traditional Argentinean sauce, it’s served with a medley of pan-roasted vegetables. The Cedar Plank Salmon is moist, tasty, and simply prepared, topped with a bit of paprika and some lime and baked on a cedar plank to impart additional flavor. Its side dish is a variation on succotash, with spinach instead of lime beans that is topped with feta. These dishes demonstrate that protein-rich, veggie-laden fare can taste indulgent and delicious.”

CPK's innovators are taking guests on a culinary journey with their selection of New Adventures; five globally-inspired new additions to the menu with an emphasis on big flavor and lower calorie counts, debuting nationwide August 27. The New Adventures will complement CPK's beloved staples, delighting diners with their vibrant ingredients from around the world.
