Be ye a fan of late 70s/early 80s soft rock, someone who loves to hate it, or one who delights in the yacht rock genre’s unabashed cheesiness, you may want to catch Yacht Rock Revue's first-ever LA show. Hailing from the ATL, these self-described "sex panthers" have sold out theaters around the US and played on such high-sea sojourns as the Weezer Cruise and the Kiss Kruise. Watch them perform covers by such oh-so-smooth progenitors as Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Toto, and Michael McDonald at the Satellite in Silver Lake. Here's hoping they play "The Pina Colada Song."

Please Rock says…

By blurring the lines between a tribute, an original act, and a comedic troupe, the Yacht Rock Revue has forged a unique niche market and a special bond with their fans. The band attacks each song as if it were their own, and the energy exchanged between the band and the crowd has more in common with a stadium U2 show than that of a typical bar band.
