Celebrate Halloween with one of the best (and creepiest) horror films ever made. The Goethe-Institut Los Angeles and LA's German Consulate General present F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu (1922) at the Egyptian Theater during the Egyptian's celebration of its opening the same year. This German Expressionist silent classic will be presented in 35mm with live accompaniment by Cliff Retallick.

Egyptian Theatre says…

F.W. Murnau reinvents the story of Dracula as a silent German Expressionist fable and the result is one of the greatest horror films ever made. Max Schreck is astonishingly creepy as the vampire, and Murnau's frames ooze eerie atmosphere in this hugely influential tale.
