In 1940, Bruce Lee was born in San Francisco's Chinatown, and most of us assume that he immediately kicked his doctor. In his short 32 years, Lee became the world's most famous martial-arts icon, starring in such films as Fists of Fury (1972) and Way of the Dragon (1972). Known for his physical feats and his endless abs (we counted a 26-pack), Lee could perform one-handed pushups with only his thumb and index finger. While the "little dragon" isn't here anymore, his co-star John Saxton thankfully is, and he's coming to the Egyptian to introduce Enter the Dragon (1973) and The Appaloosa (1966). Sounds pretty kick-ass.

Egyptian Theatre says…

Enter The Dragon, 1973, 97 min. Dir. Robert Clouse. Perhaps the legendary Bruce Lee’s finest film, Enter The Dragon also helped break down the doors of American mainstream culture for the martial arts genre. The Appaloosa, 1966, 98 min. Dir. Sidney J. Furie. Marlon Brando stars as a Mexican-American buffalo hunter at odds with local bandit general John Saxon. Discussion between films with actor John Saxon, moderated by Larry Karaszewski.
