“Veggie Grill has ably filled a void with their delicious, affordable vegan comfort food that appeals to vegans and meat-eaters alike. Their menu has just been enriched with new additions that include three home-style plates. The Crispy Chickin' Plate features  a crispy version of their veggie protein "chicken" whose heartiness, good texture, and tastiness has converted many a meat-eater. It's served with a mash of potatoes and cauliflower topped with porcini gravy, and steamed kale. A blackened version of the "chicken" is the centerpiece of the Blackened Chickin' Plate, served with papaya salsa, quinoa pilaf, and steamed kale. Their gluten-free new dish, the Urban Plate, is a scrumptious stack of blackened tempeh, caramelized onion, and portobello mushroom that is served with steamed kale and tomato and avocado salad. One of Veggie Grill's most beloved items, the faux-meat Buffalo Chickin' Wings, is now also available in their Buffalo Bomber Sandwich, and in their B-Wing Salad that also includes romaine, celery, avocado, roasted corn salsa, and ranch dressing. The high points of the dessert offerings are the new Chocolate Pudding Parfait, a dairy-free, homemade pudding topped with crushed chocolate cookies, chocolate sauce, and walnuts; and the vegan carrot cake, with its cream cheese-type frosting made of fool-the-palate Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese.”
